AML/CFT – audit, assistance and training

  • AML/CFT independent audit (external audit).
This is to determine if your AML/CFT Programme (aka Compliance Programme) is functioning in practice; and that the policies, procedures and controls in place are based on the Money Laundering (ML) and Financing Terrorism (FT) risks identified in the firm’s AML/CFT Risk Assessment.

  • AML/CFT interim audit which is a basic check-up to ensure the firm is complying with the AML/CFT Act and associated regulations and has addressed the issues raised in the previous Audit Report

  • Assistance to address the issues raised in the AML/CFT Audit Report, and to implement the changes

  • Pre-Audit assessment of your firm's AML/CFT compliance prior to an AML/CFT audit

  • Review of the firm's AML/CFT framework documents (Risk Assessment and AML/CFT Programme (aka Compliance Programme)) to ensure they meet the standards

  • Training of staff

  • Training of the Money Laundering Compliance Officer (MLCO)

  • Make your Risk Assessment and AML/CFT Programme (Compliance Programme) compliant following either a DIA audit or external audit.  This would involve educating and training staff, as well as providing you with other internal control documents such as ‘client’ risk assessment (as opposed to matter risk assessment), client information sheet, and CDD documents.

  • Independent AML/CFT audit to determine whether your firm meets the minimum requirements under the AML/CFT Act.

AML/CFT Template Documents

I have template AML/CFT framework documents which include the Risk Assessment, AML/CFT Programme (Compliance Programme), Client Risk Assessment and CDD documents.  The options are:

  • Purchase the template documents and customise them yourself.

  • Consult me to customise a compliant set of documents which may involve you providing me with your external audit report and/or audit report from DIA.
